The Sharks return to EIS – Sheffield on Monday 15th March, when they will host the Everton Tigers as they try to keep the pressure right on Newcastle at the top of the BBL. For this game, tickets are available to buy online at the reduced rate of £5 per ticket. To book your tickets, go to the website (link above) and click on the ‘Buy Tickets Now’ Link. Tip-off on Monday 15th March is at 7:30pm.
Following this, the Sharks have 2 more home games coming up on Friday 19th March and Friday 26th March. Both these games will the at EIS – Sheffield at 7:30pm on the respective evenings. You can also book tickets for this game online at the website (link above) and click on the ‘Buy Tickets Now’ Link, and the £5 per ticket offer will apply as usual.
Easter Monday will be a bumper day of basketball at the EIS – Sheffield with the Sheffield Sharks and Sheffield Steelers Wheelchair Basketball Teams both in action. At midday, the Sheffield Steelers will be in action against the Nottingham Jags, followed by the Sheffield Sharks V Essex Pirates in the BBL at 3pm. You can come and watch the Steelers game for free, however normal charges will apply for the Sharks game. Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile
Sport Relief is back and it’s coming to Sheffield’s Hillsborough Park. The city is set to host one of Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Miles on Sunday 21st March, and needs local people to show their support by entering now. The first wave of the Sheffield Hillsborough Park Mile sets off at 11.30am and the second one sets off at 12noon.
For the more adventurous, there will be 3 and 6 mile events starting at 10am and 11am. Before each start, there will be a 15 minute warm up session, so be there in good time.
There will also be stilt walkers, circus workshops, street dancers, face painters and a climbing wall to keep you entertained throughout the day.
along with a number of sporting personalities present so keep your eyes peeled!
Hundreds of thousands of people across the country will rise to the challenge at the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile, and have a great time too, whether they do 1, 3 or 6 miles. Comic Relief will spend the money raised through sponsorship helping poor and vulnerable people both here in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
