After a slightly disappointing first game the U13’s stepped up a gear for this game. Novas number 14 got 2 quick baskets before George got us on the score sheet. Two baskets for Marko and the same for Sam Baines kept us in the running another basket from George and 1 from the line gave us the slender lead of 1 point.

Another disappointing quarter of the season with only 3 points being scored for the Sharks with Ross getting one basket and Marko getting 1 from 2. Nova began to pile on the heat but Paddy, Alex, Xavier and Jake were doing a fine job on defence. Nova outscored us 12 to 3 in this quarter.

Nova came out strong for the 3rd but the defending was first rate again holding Nova to 6 points while the Sharks scored 10.

Fourth quarter was much the same as the first with Sharks coming out on top 7 to 6. Sam V O hitting 1 from 2 at the line 2 baskets from George and one from Sam Baines ended the game.

A really good effort from everyone and if it wasn’t for the 2nd quarter then we could have won Nova for the second time.
