Sheffield Sharks (48) V Leicester Dynamite (43)

The under 13 travelled to The Watershed in Leicester at the weekend. The first game was against Leicester Dynamite. Dynamite came out strong in the first ¼ and things were tight for the Sharks. Marko and Sam Thompson were the only ones who scored in this period. George kept things alive with some good ball handling and passing which he kept feeding to Marko for his baskets. Ross and Alex also kept the opposition busy with some good hustle on the ball. The period ended Sharks 12 Dynamite 15.

Ross got in on the act with three baskets in this period and new boy Dominic got fouled and made 1 from 2 at the line. Good offensive work by Paddy, Joel and Xavier and some good defending by Cameron kept the Sharks in the game. Marko kept the pressure on and hit a nice 3 pointer late in the period. George took a knock to the face during this period, which saw him come off and go to the bench. The Sharks held a slender lead going into ½ time 26 to 24.

George came out in the second period a refreshed player and got his scoring off with a nice 3 pointer. Marko got 1 basket but the ¼ belonged to George as he got 7 of the 9 points in this quarter.

A mix up between score sheet and board ended with a 3 point lead for the Sharks being a 1 point lead. The Sharks had to dig really deep to pull a win out of the bag and ended the the victors with a 48-43 win.
