The first game of the day was against Northants Ballers who like the Sharks had won 4 but also they had lost 2. Marko won the tip and knocked it straight to George for him to score the first points of the game. Marko got the next 2 baskets with one from Sam T and then George and Marko shared the rest of the 20 points in this quarter. Northants hit back with 4 baskets of their own to take the score to 20-8. Some good work by Ross and Alex putting pressure on defence and also some good helping play on offence meant the Sharks took the lead into the 2nd quarter.

The second quarter saw some substitutions with new League player Sam Baines coming on and holding his own with some good defensive work. Dominic also came on and did a good job of bringing the ball up the court to provide good support for the rest of the players. A much improved Paddy also came on and was very impressive on his defending. A foul on George saw him go to the line for two but could not convert them. George, Marko and Sam T scored all points in this quarter.

The third quarter saw a bit of a slump from the Sharks with us being out played 8 – 10. George and Marko shared the points in this period. Xavier, Joel and Cameron came on during this quarter and played some good basketball giving good support.

During the fourth quarter Sam VO came on and was instantly taking command of the team shouting out instructions to all players. This seamed to work as the players rose to Sam’s instructions and dug deep. Two baskets from Ross, Marko and George sealed the win.
